How have I been shaped by pivotal moments and experiences in my life? For my sustained investigation I explored experiences in my life that have shaped me into who I am today. I used a variety of mediums to reflect the different emotions I have felt in my life during pivotal moments. My sustained investigation includes the highs and the lows from extreme happiness to confusion/sadness. My pieces have a deeper meaning to them. For example, piece #7 represents my college decision. Each location represents one location in the U.S. I was considering going to college, the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and New York City  #9 represents how my brother has diabetes through the insulin bottle. My tenth piece is supposed to show what home means to me. My time spent in England is represented by the telephone booth and the plants represent how I always come back to nature.  The flowers represent the happy parts of his diabetes which is diabetes camp. My sustained investigation shows practice and experimentation as I use a large variety of media and techniques to create my artwork. I show variation because some pieces are happier compared to other pieces. I have revised my guided question; originally I was just going to focus on pivotal moments but I expanded my investigation to experiences in my life too
